Ontario Invites Candidates For Express Entry!

Canada has opened doors yet again for the candidates applying as traders and French-speaking traders. All who are skilled workers having a valid profile are eligible to apply for The Skilled Trades Stream via federal Express Invitation scheme. However, one should qualify for the Canadian Experience Class and should have a valid work experience in the skilled trade.

Apart from that, a person qualified as either a Federal Skilled Worker Class or having adequate English language abilities (CLB 6 or higher) could apply for the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. The stream was launched way back in 2015 with an objective to target French-speaking Express Entry candidates. The course was created to help boost Ontario’s francophone populace. As per estimations, the population of Ontario numbers around 500,000 people and is considered as the largest francophone population in the exterior of Quebec.

According to reports, Ontario has invited 75 applicants through an express entry scheme applying for a regional recommendation through its French-Speaking Skilled Workers streams and Skilled Trades. Since April 11, 2018, this was the third time that the interview rounds had been taken up in each stream on 25th and 26th April 2018. The students who got selected through Skilled Trade Stream for Canada express entry had been submitted between the month of 1st January and 25th April 2018, said OINP (The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). While those of French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream submitted their profile from 1st January 2018 to April 26, 2018. Apparently, Ontario has issued 384 notifications via the stream of French-Speaking Skilled Worker and 545 via a stream of Skilled Trades since the beginning of 2018.

As of now, to qualify for these streams, there is no minimum CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement. Apart from that, the Canadian government has proposed a unique provincial criterion for both French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream as well as the Skilled Worker Stream. Also, the candidates through express entry scheme who receive the notification of interest and provincial nomination are given 600 CRS points, thus giving them the advantage to receive an Invitation to Apply in the draw of later Express Entry.
